On The Road Again... Magic City Art Connection and Announcing! Artisan Adventures V-Blog

Nathan and I are on to more adventures...

We are always on an adventure.

Be it on the road or in the studio.

This time we are going to bring it to you in the form of an artist adventure video blog.

Yes!

We are going to take you with us.

Get ready and put your seat belt on and enjoy the ride.

If you want to keep up with updates and get some really cool downloads, then by all means sign-up here

So on with the show!

I am so grateful for you and it really means a lot that you've stayed with me through the years.

It hasn't always been fun. It has some times been a struggle.

Questioning if I was cut out for this jewelry art show biz.

But I am grateful that you've been there with me. You, my customer, cheerleaders, inspirationalists (my word), my friends...

You've all made this possible.

So if anything, as we take on you on this ride, at least we can make you laugh, think, and maybe, just maybe we can connect. I'd love that. I really would.

I am so grateful that we for you and it really means a lot that you've stayed with me through the years. It hasn't always been fun. But I am grateful that you've been there with me. You, my customer, dare I say, my friends, you've made this possible.

So if anything, as we take on you on this ride, at least we can make you laugh and maybe, just maybe we can connect. I'd love that. I really would.

So now back to regularly scheduled programming...

Artisans will be selling exquisite jewelry, stunning stained glass, fabulous fibers and magnificent metal sculptures in copper and silver.

For those who are partial to food as an art form, the Magic City Art Connection will host the 22nd annual Corks and Chefs event which pairs food from local Birmingham restaurants with cocktails, craft beers, and fine wine. An assortment of tasting events will take place on both Saturday and Sunday but require the purchase of a separate ticket.

Buy your ticket in advance via the festival’s website as these events are always popular. However, even if you can’t make one of the Cork and Chef tasting events, not to worry. The Park Place Café will serve up a variety of fair favorites as well as local specialties from some of the region’s best restaurants.

The Magic City Art Connection also offers a range of activities for children of all ages making this the perfect family get-away. The Imagination Festival offers a total immersion opportunity for children and their families to make their own art and explore their creative side.

You can create a Chinese Dragon using recycled products, make your own clay animal creation or contribute to a large scale mural by trying a technique known as “soak staining” which uses watered down paint. And throughout the event, two stages will provide an opportunity to sit and rest or break out your dancing shoes.

A wide array of musicians will take the stage playing everything from rock and roll to country to blues and gospel. In addition, the second stage will feature various cultural performances, living drumming, and storytelling.
